That ₹198 is the small part. The real return is that somebody who knows the unit looks at it three times a year — a gas leak found in March is a ₹3,499 refill you do not pay for in May, and a choked drain found early is not a stained wall.

February – March · dry service
Before the first proper heat. Filters and coils cleared so the unit starts the season at full capacity instead of straining from day one. This is also when a slow gas leak shows up cheaply, rather than in the middle of May.
June – July · jet pump cleaning
After months of dust and just as the monsoon turns everything humid. This is the deep wash — the one that clears what dry cleaning cannot reach, and the visit where drain blockages get caught before they overflow.
October – November · dry service
Post-monsoon. Damp coils and a summer's worth of load, checked and cleaned so the unit sits out the winter dry rather than corroding quietly.

Nobody can honestly include refrigerant in a ₹1,199 contract — a single refill costs nearly three times that. Any AMC that claims to is either pricing the gas into a much higher premium or planning to argue with you about it later.
When an AMC is not worth it for you

Does the AMC cover gas refilling?
No, and we would be lying if we said it did. A gas refill is ₹3,499 on its own — nearly three times the price of the whole contract — so no honest AMC at this price can include it. What the AMC does do is check gas pressure on all three visits, which is how a slow leak gets caught in March instead of failing in May.
How much does an AC AMC cost in Ahmedabad?

Do you remind me when a service is due, or do I have to track it?
We track it and call you. That is a large part of what you are buying — most people mean to service the AC before summer and remember in the third week of May, when every technician in Ahmedabad is already booked.
Is the AMC worth it for an AC I barely use?
Honestly, often not. If the unit runs six weeks a year in a spare room, a single dry service before summer is the sensible spend. We will tell you that on the phone rather than sell you a contract you do not need.
