AC installation in Ahmedabad, with the real price up front
₹1,499 covers the installation and copper pipe up to 10 feet. Most quotes you will get do not mention the copper, the stand or the drilling until the technician is already on your wall. Ours are listed below before you call.
What an installation actually costs
An AC installation is one price plus a small number of variables. Here is every one of them, so you can add up your own job before anyone visits.
| Item | Price | When it applies |
|---|---|---|
| Standard installation | ₹1,499 | Always. Includes mounting both units, copper pipe up to 10 ft, drainage, electrical connection, vacuum and commissioning. |
| Outdoor wall stand | ₹899 | Only if the outdoor unit is going on a wall and you do not already have a sound stand. Not needed for a terrace, balcony floor or existing bracket. |
| Copper beyond 10 ft | ₹380 per foot | Only for the length past the first 10 ft. A 14 ft run means 4 × ₹380 = ₹1,520 on top. |
| Core drilling | Included | Standard brick or block wall. We will tell you before starting if a wall turns out to be RCC and needs different handling. |
| Visiting charge | None | There is no separate call-out fee on a booked installation. |
Two worked examples. A ground-floor bedroom with the outdoor unit sitting on the balcony floor, 8 ft of pipe: ₹1,499, nothing else. A second-floor room with the outdoor unit on a wall bracket and 15 ft of pipe: ₹1,499 + ₹899 stand + (5 × ₹380) = ₹4,298. Both of those are quoted to you before we lift a tool.
Six steps, and the one most installers skip
A split AC is not difficult to install. It is easy to install badly, in ways that only show up eight months later as weak cooling or a wet wall.
Positioning both units
Indoor unit high on the wall with clear airflow, away from direct sun on the outside face. Outdoor unit somewhere it can actually breathe — boxed into a tight duct or utility shaft is how a compressor dies early.
Core drilling and the drain slope
One clean core through the wall, angled so condensate runs out rather than back in. A drain that slopes even slightly the wrong way is the single most common cause of water tracking down an inside wall.
Copper run and flaring
Pipe cut to length and flared properly at both ends. A bad flare is a slow leak, and a slow leak is the ₹3,499 gas refill you will be paying for next season.
Electrical and earthing
Connected to a point that can carry the load, properly earthed. If your existing point is not adequate we will say so rather than connect it anyway and hope.
Vacuum — the step that gets skipped
The system is pulled down to vacuum before the gas is released. This removes air and moisture from the lines. It takes fifteen minutes and it is the first thing dropped when someone is rushing three installs in a day. Moisture left inside corrodes the compressor from the inside out, and the failure arrives years later looking like bad luck.
Commissioning and handover
Gas released, running pressures and temperature drop checked, drainage watched under load, remote and modes explained. We leave once it is cooling properly, not once it switches on.
Four things worth deciding in advance
None of these are complicated, but sorting them before the technician is on a ladder saves an hour and sometimes a second visit.
Where the outdoor unit goes
It needs airflow and it needs to be reachable for future servicing. A unit hung somewhere nobody can safely stand is a unit that gets serviced badly for the rest of its life.
How far apart the two units are
Measure roughly, wall to wall, including the drop. This is what decides whether you are inside the 10 ft the price includes.
Whether there is a power point nearby
A 15A point close to the indoor unit. If there is not one, you want an electrician before us, not during.
Whether the society has rules
Some buildings in Ahmedabad restrict where outdoor units can hang on the street-facing side. Worth a check before we drill.

Questions about this service
How much does AC installation cost in Ahmedabad?
₹1,499 for a standard split AC installation, which includes copper pipe up to 10 feet. A wall stand is ₹899 if you need one, and copper beyond 10 feet is ₹380 per foot. A typical ground-floor room with a short pipe run is just the ₹1,499; a second-floor room needing a stand and 15 feet of pipe works out at ₹4,298. You get the exact figure before we start.
Is the copper pipe included in the installation price?
Up to 10 feet, yes — that covers most rooms where the outdoor unit sits on the same wall or just below. Past 10 feet it is ₹380 per foot for the extra length only, not for the whole run. Measure roughly wall to wall including the vertical drop and you will know which side of it you are on.
How long does an AC installation take?
Ordinarily two to three hours for a single split unit, assuming the wall is standard brick and there is a usable power point nearby. Add time if the outdoor unit needs a bracket fitted or the drilling runs into RCC.
Do I need a stand for the outdoor unit?
Only if it is going on a wall and there is no sound existing bracket. If the unit can sit on a terrace, a balcony floor or an existing stand that is still solid, you do not need one and we will not sell you one.
Do you install an AC I bought somewhere else?
Yes. It makes no difference to us where the unit came from — the installation price is the same whether you bought it from our shop or online.
What is a vacuum, and why do you keep mentioning it?
Before the refrigerant is released into the pipes, the system is pumped down to remove air and moisture. Moisture inside a sealed refrigerant circuit slowly corrodes the compressor from within. Pulling vacuum takes about fifteen minutes and it is the step most commonly skipped when an installer is rushing — the damage does not show for years, which is exactly why it gets skipped.
