Buy an AC from the people who will service it for ten years
We sell Mitsubishi Heavy Duty, Daikin, Hitachi, Panasonic, Onida and every other major brand. The difference is that we are also the ones coming back to fix it — which is a strong incentive not to sell you the wrong size.
What tonnage does your room actually need?
This is the decision that matters most and the one most often got wrong. Undersized and it runs constantly without ever cooling; oversized and it short-cycles, leaving the room cold and clammy while wearing the compressor out.
| Room size | Suggested capacity | Typical rooms |
|---|---|---|
| Up to about 110 sq ft | 1 ton | Small bedroom, study, cabin |
| About 110 – 170 sq ft | 1.5 ton | Standard master bedroom, small shop floor |
| About 170 – 250 sq ft | 2 ton | Large bedroom, living room, clinic waiting area |
| Over 250 sq ft | 2 ton +, or two units | Halls and open-plan spaces — worth a look before deciding |
Then adjust upward if the room is on the top floor, faces west or south, has large or single-glazed windows, opens into a kitchen, or regularly holds more than three or four people. Ahmedabad summers punish an undersized unit far harder than the chart suggests — when a room sits on the boundary between two sizes, we will normally tell you to go up rather than down.
Inverter or fixed speed — honestly
Almost everything sold today is inverter, and for most buyers that is correct. It is not automatically correct for everyone.
| Inverter | Fixed speed | |
|---|---|---|
| How it works | Compressor varies its speed and settles at a low steady output | Compressor is either fully on or fully off |
| Running cost | Lower, and the gap grows the more hours you run it | Higher for long daily use |
| Comfort | Steadier temperature, quieter, less draught | Noticeable cycling as it kicks in and out |
| Upfront cost | Higher | Lower |
| Repairs later | PCB-driven, so a board failure is the expensive scenario | Simpler electrically, cheaper to fix |
| Worth it when | You run it several hours a day through the season — which is most homes here | A spare room used a few weeks a year, where the savings never repay the premium |
For a bedroom in Ahmedabad that runs nightly from March to October, inverter is straightforwardly the right answer. For a guest room used a fortnight a year, paying the premium to save electricity you were never going to use does not add up, and we will say so.
Why buy from a service shop instead of a big retailer
We are not going to pretend a large chain cannot sell you the same box, often at a keen price. Here is the actual difference.
The seller is the servicer
We are the ones coming back for the next ten years. Selling you a 1 ton for a room that needs 1.5 buys us a decade of complaints — the incentive runs the right way.
Sizing gets checked, not guessed
We ask the room dimensions, the floor and the window direction before recommending anything. It takes two minutes and it is the difference between a unit that copes and one that never quite does.
Installation done by us
₹1,499, including copper to 10 ft, done properly with a real vacuum step. Third-party installation is where a good unit most often gets compromised on day one.
One number afterwards
Sale, installation, servicing and any warranty conversation all go through the same shop in Naranpura. Nobody gets to tell you it is somebody else's problem.
Questions about this service
What size AC do I need for my room?
As a starting point: up to about 110 sq ft take 1 ton, 110 to 170 sq ft take 1.5 ton, and 170 to 250 sq ft take 2 ton. Then size up if the room is on the top floor, faces west or south, has large windows, opens into a kitchen or regularly holds several people. Ahmedabad heat is unforgiving on an undersized unit, so on a borderline room we will usually recommend going up.
Which AC brands do you sell?
Mitsubishi Heavy Duty, Daikin, Hitachi, Panasonic and Onida are the ones we work on most often, and we can supply all other major brands. Since we service what we sell, we are happy to tell you which brands we actually see fewer problems with in Ahmedabad conditions.
Is an inverter AC worth the extra cost?
For most homes here, yes. If the unit runs several hours a day through a long season, the lower running cost repays the premium and the temperature is steadier. For a spare room used a couple of weeks a year it genuinely does not pay back, and we will tell you that rather than upsell you.
Do you install the AC you sell?
Yes — ₹1,499 for a standard installation including copper pipe up to 10 feet, with a wall stand at ₹899 and extra copper at ₹380 per foot if needed. Having the same shop sell and install it means there is nobody to pass blame to if something is not right.
Is a bigger AC always better?
No, and this is a common and expensive mistake. An oversized unit cools the air fast, switches off before it has removed the humidity, then switches straight back on. You end up with a room that feels cold and clammy and a compressor doing far more start-stop cycles than it was designed for. Correct sizing beats extra capacity.
Can I see the units at your shop?
Yes — we are at 10, Samarpan Tower, near Jaymangal BRTS on 132 Feet Ring Road in Naranpura, open Monday to Sunday, 10 AM to 8 PM. Bring your room measurements and we can work through the options properly.
